A nice rock formation I saw on the way down from Glacier Point in Yosemite, late in the day. |

Some neat looking bark on a tree near our place in Belmont. I noticed the bark while walking with Danny up the hill to our house, and went back to photograph it a few days later. I used Ken's 55mm f2.8 macro lens. I enjoyed using the lens so much that after much pushing by Ken, I bought a 55mm f3.5 macro lens at the San Jose camera fair in April 1999. I didn't like the low depth of field in the above shot,
so I went back with a tripod and shot it again, this time using my new
macro lens. The result is quite different because of the change in scale
and lighting. Click here for a 1024x768

I was hunting down textures everywhere I could find them
while hiking near Point Reyes with Ken, Danny, and Anne-Lise. This was
on the side of the trail, in the woods. Click here
