This and that. Lots of food photos. |
Some cool macro shots, a day in San Francisco with Lew, some wildlife on the bay, and more food! |
Some stuff in our back yard, a hike with Phoenix and friends, a visit to Ken and Katie's
place, and a trip to Moss Beach.

May 2002. The first part of our canyon tour. This part is with Daddy and Kotty as well as
Anne-Lise and Danny. It covers Zion, Bryce, a bit of Capitol Reef, and finally Arches
(all national parks in southern Utah).
The second part of our canyon tour. This part is after Daddy and Kotty
left for the Ottawa area, leaving just the three of us. It covers Mesa Verde,
Petrified Forest, Wupatki/Sunset Crater, Glen Canyon, and Grand Canyon.
The last part of our canyon tour. This part covers the time after we left the canyon
country. It covers Great Basin, Death Valley, and Yosemite.
Rudy and Clasina visit us in the Bay Area just after our return from our road trip
in canyon country. We decide to be tourists for once, so we eat at fisherman's wharf
and ride the cable car.
Photos from Kings Canyon and Sequoia national park. Annie came down
for a visit and we headed out to the park for a long weekend with Shelley, who now
lives in the bay area. We had some very nice hikes and some adventures getting home
(sorry, no pictures). Hotter than Yosemite and a lot less crowded.
Danny and I visit Ottawa to see Daddy and all the people going to visit him.
We were really happy to be there for Alvin and Tracy's wedding. They started with a
western church wedding complete with the classic organ music, then spent some time
doing photos both inside the church and outside. The outside shots came out better
because of the good late afternoon lighting. Then it was on to a Chinese restaurant
for dinner, pranks, and more.
Danny and I head back to Ottawa for another week, but this time Anne-Lise and Annie
come along as well. Annie made several special foods like blintzes. We also celebrate
Clasina's birthday. As usual, she baked her own cakes, which were wonderful.
Danny and I head back to Ottawa for another week, this time without Anne-Lise or Annie,
but with Eric (but not Jackie or Lisa). Also inluded are photos of our Halloween setup
and Danny with his new car.
The three of us head up north for the holidays. This was a longer
trip with visits from lots of friends, but the weather didn't cooperate, so no
skiing. Francis drove Scruffy across the country very quickly, and arrived while
we were there, making Kotty very happy.
The three of us go with Lew and Debbie to see a double header live steam event at
Hunter's Point in San Francisco. Two steam engines running at the same time!
Also included are a few photos from the following day at the beach.

It's been a while without any new photos. Here are the few I've taken over the
last many months, including yet another trip to Ottawa. Nonnie and family visited
during our visit, which was cool. Also a teaser for our new house. More below...
Also included are a few photos from the following day at the beach.

More photos of our new house. These were all taken by Anne-Lise with her CoolPix 990.
Eventually she'll probably put these up on her web site, but I know everyone is eager
to see the new place, so here they are ;-)

These photos were taken on two consecutive weekends. The first
one had Malcolm and Silke visiting on their way to San Diego, where they'll now
be living. The second one had Danny and I surprising Eric at his birthday party,
first by being there, and second by picking up a huge tool chest at Home Depot on
the way from the airport.
A day spent enjoying a baseball game in San Francisco, followed
by dinner and beer, all care of Palm. Thanks to Raymy for organizing this event.
Yet another trip back to Plantagenet. Anne-Lise had to work, so she
couldn't come on this trip. Danny and I went, flying in and out of Montreal. We
got to see Kotty a bit, which was nice. We also had a big Chinese dinner with Dave
Ng and his wife, Dave Gregory and his wife, Doug, Geraldine, and Ritu. Otherwise a
fairly relaxing trip with a lot of reading (mostly Bill Bryson).
This is a mixed bag of photos. First we have Rudy
and Clasina visiting us for a few days. Then we have some photos
of my trike being built. The trike is still waiting for a part before
it can be completed. Then there are lots of photos from a long weekend
trip to Lassen Volcanic National Park.
This is another mixed bag of photos, but it's mostly a trip to L.A.
and a trip to Ottawa.
