The stairs up to the parking lot from the beach south of Santa Cruz.
Quite a climb, especially after walking way down the beach. |

The pillars supporting the pier used to access the cement ship resting
a little offshore. Anne-Lise lost a flipper here a long time ago, when
she helped get a bird free from a tangle of fishing line. No sign of it,
needless to say! |

Knotty weather worn wood. |

These little guys run in and out as the waves roll in, looking for
stuff to eat in the surf. They're fun to watch. |

Danny hanging out on the beach. It's sunny and warm. Definitely
a hat day! |

Anne-Lise using stone tools on the beach. Taken with my

On the main drag in Santa Cruz. We couldn't find any decent
place to eat, but I did find this strange cube. We ended up in a pizza
