The stairs up to the parking lot from the beach south of Santa Cruz. Quite a climb, especially after walking way down the beach.
The pillars supporting the pier used to access the cement ship resting a little offshore. Anne-Lise lost a flipper here a long time ago, when she helped get a bird free from a tangle of fishing line. No sign of it, needless to say!
Knotty weather worn wood.
These little guys run in and out as the waves roll in, looking for stuff to eat in the surf. They're fun to watch.
Danny hanging out on the beach. It's sunny and warm. Definitely a hat day!
Anne-Lise using stone tools on the beach. Taken with my 105mm lens.
On the main drag in Santa Cruz. We couldn't find any decent place to eat, but I did find this strange cube. We ended up in a pizza joint, eating pizza with way too much garlic and cheese.
