Based on a recipe from Olde Victorian Inn. Similar to the classic dish served at 219 King Street in Alexandria, Virginia.
Serves 3.
Put everything but the shrimp in a dutch oven. Stir and cook, uncovered, over medium heat until the butter is melted and the onions are frying. Add the shrimp, cover, and lower the heat. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 25 minutes.
Serve with french bread or rice.
